Danielle

Danielle is medical doctor.

Danielle first started practicing yoga to complement her intense training regime as an elite athlete.  Danielle was a member of the Australian Rowing team, and the NSW and WA state rowing teams for over 7 years.  When not playing on the water, practicing or teaching yoga, Danielle is a Doctor working in various states in Australia.

With her combined background in elite sports and medicine, Danielle has a wealth of knowledge to offer in her Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga classes.

Danielle has been fortunate to study Ashtanga yoga in Mysore, India with Pattabhi Jois and Sharath.  She has also studied with David Swenson.  Danielle is grateful to her first yoga teacher Prahlad at the Yoga Arts Academy who instilled a love of yoga and provided Danielle with a solid grounding in traditional yoga as taught throughout India. Danielle has also studied Anatomy and Physiology for Yoga, as well as private tuition with Simon Borg-Olivier who she counts as one of her great teachers and mentors.

Garry

Garry’s Yoga journey began in the late 1970s when he started exploring New Age lifestyles in India, the U.K. and Northern NSW.

His has devoted much of his life to helping people through exercise and using Mind Body techniques.

As an International Fitness trainer he has travelled extensively throughout Australia and South East Asia over the past 20 years.

Most recently his Yoga influences have been inspired by studying the Power Yoga techniques delivered by Power Living Australia.

Garry offers his class members a combination of Yoga principles. Using a Vinyasa approach his class flows from held poses where technique is assisted and breath focused to athletic transitions that warm the body and stimulate class participants to be 100% present to the fusion of mind, body and spirit.

Kate has been certified to teach the beautiful Calligraphy Yoga which is a healing qigong based yoga developed to cultivate energy and increase strength, flexibility and wellbeing. She also loves and practices Ashtanga and Synergy Yoga. She is grateful to Danielle,  the teachers and students at The Frog for the yoga community and the opportunity to practice and teach.

Sophie

Sophie began practising yoga in 2008, maintaining a regular practice in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga since the start of 2010.  She enjoys the dynamic flow of Ashtanga Yoga, finding the fluid blending of breath and movement brings focus to her practice of asanas and clarity to her mind.  She has also practised Iyengar Yoga which she values highly for its integration of yoga
philosophy and strict technical teaching of the postures.

Sophie studied initial and advanced yoga teacher training at Trinity Yoga Teacher Training with Heather Agnew.  She continues to build her knowledge and experience through her yoga practice and further studies; she is constantly inspired by, and grateful for, the wonderful teachers and students that surround her.

Sophie has recently developed a love for mountain biking riding and can often be found out riding on the many trails around Canberra.  She believes her time on the mat brings great benefit to all aspects of her life, including her riding skills.

Katrina was introduced to yoga some 12 years ago at a prenatal yoga clinic whilst pregnant with her first child.

Katrina has a background in human anatomy and physiology with a long career as a Biological Laboratory Technician in several of Australia's Universities.

Katrina continues to attend workshops and lectures by renowned yoga teachers from around the world.

Yoga to Katrina, is not about striving for the perfect body shape.  It is about being present in the body to appreciate the life that is yours, and it is about being healthy so that you may enjoy the life that you have.
